Liverpool have just won the Carabao Cup on Sunday but they have a midweek FA Cup fixture against Norwich City to focus on.
The Anfield outfit played an intense match on Sunday as they beat Chelsea on penalties so Jurgen Klopp is sure to make wholesale changes to his starting line up on Wednesday night.
Most of the players who started on Sunday will be rested against the Canaries but the manager will not be without Roberto Firmino and Thiago Silva.
Firmino picked up a muscle injury while playing against Inter last month and he will not be fit in time to play the 5th Round of the FA Cup.
Pepijn Lijnders had updated last week: “We hope he will be back really soon because you all see and know and feel how important he is for our way of playing, so I am happy that he is pushing himself. Hopefully, he is soon back.”
Thiago was supposed to start against Chelsea on Sunday but he had to pull out of the match in the final minutes before kick-off due to a hamstring injury.
The Spaniard too will be unavailable for selection but the manager has hinted that he could be fit to face Inter next week.
Jurgen Klopp said in his pre-match press conference: “He’s fine again but not fit again. Like always, you don’t know [how long he will be out] exactly. Weekend not sure, maybe Milan, after that definitely.”

Thankfully, the midfield area will not be a problem for Jurgen Klopp since he has several players for that position. James Milner and Havery Elliot came off the bench against Chelsea but the pair could start in midweek. Klopp also has Oxlade-Chamberlain at his disposal.
Liverpool take on West Ham United and Inter in their next two games so both Salah and Mane is going to be rested in midweek. This means the manager might have to rely on the likes of Minamino and Origi to pull them through.
Norwich have lost their previous three Premier League games so they will not be able to put up any major resistance in midweek which is why Liverpool should be able to pick up an easy win.
