Sadio Mane to return to the EPL

Liverpool have wrapped up the English Premier League in fine fashion but against Manchester City they suffered a really humiliating defeat, going down 4-0 at the Etihad.

Klopp had named his strongest XI vs City but still, Guardiola’s men bossed the match from start to finish and to be fair it could have been a much worse scoreline.

But Aston Villa have failed to win their last 8 matches in the Premier League and with the kind of firepower Liverpool have, the home side should be looking to bounce back with an emphatic win on Sunday.

The Liverpool boss is expected to make a few rotations to his starting line-up at Anfield but the core of the team should remain the same as Klopp looks to pick up his first win as the Liverpool manager since his side were announced the champions of the 19-20 season.

Liverpool team news vs Aston Villa:

Alisson Becker will start in goal and with Joel Matip still out injured, the manager will once again opt to use Van Dijk and Joe Gomez as his central defensive partnership.

Andy Robertson could be rested as James Milner returns back to the side while there’s a chance that Neco Williams could also get a start in place of Trent Alexander Arnold.

Henderson needs a much-deserved rest and Naby Keita will probably come into the side to replace the Englishman while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could also get a start alongside Fabinho in central midfield.

Divock Origi could come into the side to replace Roberto Firmino upfront while Mo Salah should also be rested.

The Egyptian will probably move to the bench and with Xherdan Shaqiri out of action, there’s a chance that Takumi Minamino gets to start on the right flank.

If this tactical switch is made then Sadio Mane is likely to keep his place in the starting line-up on Sunday.
