Liverpool were held to a 0-0 draw by Everton in the Premier League this Sunday meaning Klopp’s men will not be able to wrap up the league title when they host Crystal Palace at home in midweek.

It’s only a matter of time before Liverpool are crowned the champions but at the Merseyside Derby, they did look a bit lacklustre, especially in the final third which will surely give Palace some hope.

The visiting side have not only picked up wins in their previous four Premier League matches but have also managed to keep clean sheets in each one of them so Klopp’s men will have to do some serious work to do if they wish to pick apart Roy Hodgson’s side.

But Liverpool have won their last 22 home matches in the league so we are pretty confident the Anfield outfit should be able to pick up all three points on Wednesday, even without the support of the home crowd.

Liverpool team news vs Crystal Palace:

The return of Alisson in goal was a welcome sight for Klopp and the Brazilian will reprise his role in midweek while Van Dijk will play in central defence alongside Joe Gomez.

Joel Matip picked up an injury on Sunday and the defender is expected to be out of action for the next couple of days. Dejan Lovren will start on the bench.

James Milner also picked up a hamstring injury vs the Toffees but thankfully, Andy Robertson will be available for selection so the Scott will slot straight into the left-back role while Alexander-Arnold plays at right-back.

Naby Keita started in midfield on Sunday but he will be replaced by Wijnaldum while Fabinho and Jordan Henderson are expected to keep their places in the starting XI.

Mo Salah remained an unused sub at the Merseyside Derby as Takumi Minamino played on the right flank but the January signing will surely make way for Salah in midweek.

Sadio Mane will keep his place in the first XI but some reports claim Firmino could be dropped to the bench with Divock Origi coming into the side to play up front.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain came off the bench in their last match and the England international is also expected to remain on the bench for Liverpool vs Crystal Palace.
