Liverpool got back to winning ways this week by beating RB Leipzig in the Champions League Round of 16 and next up, they will take on Everton in the Premier League.

The Reds go into this game at the back of some poor league form, having lost their previous three matches and right now, they are sixth on the league table with 40 points.

Liverpool are undefeated in their last 24 home matches against Everton in all competitions but under Ancelotti, the Toffees have been growing stronger this whole season and with some many injury concerns, Klopp could be trying to avoid yet another defeat.

Obviously, the first instinct for the Liverpool boss will be to pick up all three points but the manager will also have to be a bit careful since the Anfield outfit just cannot afford to suffer another defeat. Already, the title defence seems to have slipped away from Liverpool’s hands and if Everton were to come out of this weekend’s game with a win then surely we are going to have a new league champion in May.

Liverpool team news vs Everton:

Alisson looked much more assured in goal vs Leipzig and the Brazilian will once again start in the Merseyside Derby on Saturday.

Kabak will look to get his third straight start for Liverpool this weekend as Fabinho is still recovering from his injury.

A few rumours over the past 24 hours have been claiming that the Brazilian might have an outside chance of playing against Everton but if Fabinho is not deemed fit then Henderson will once again have to play in central defence alongside Kabak.

James Milner and Naby Keita are out injured and will not be ready for this game meaning Thiago and Wijnaldum will start in midfield at Anfield.

Curtis Jones has done really well in the past couple of matches and the youngster is expected to keep Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the bench.

Diogo Jota is also injury absentee but thankfully Divock Origi is back to full fitness and was on the subs bench in midweek against Leipzig.

But given the gravitas of the match, Jurgen Klopp will not be taking any chances and will name the trio of Firmino, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane up front.
