Liverpool suffered a shock 1-0 loss at the hands of Burnley at home in the Premier League this week and they could very well lose their second match in a row as they take on Man United in the 4th Round of the FA Cup on Sunday.

Klopp’s side has been really poor over the past couple of weeks and to add to the German’s woes, he has never won at Old Trafford on five previous opportunities.

Liverpool have not picked up a win in their last five EPL matches and out of these, two has ended in defeat.

The Anfield outfit does have the proper firepower to blow Man United out of the park on Sunday but right now, they are extremely low in confidence whereas Solskjaer’s men have not tasted defeat since they were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Man City at the start of this month.

Liverpool team news vs Man United:

Alisson gave away the penalty in midweek through which Burnley were able to pick up the three points but the Brazilian will reprise his role in front of goal on Sunday.

Matip’s return to the starting line-up was a welcome relief for Klopp and he will once again be deployed in central defence alongside Fabinho.

Alexander-Arnold was really poor in midweek but the England international will be trusted upon by the Liverpool boss vs Man United. Andy Robertson will start on the left-hand side of defence.

Jordan Henderson missed the Burnley game due to fitness issues and the player remains a doubt for the 4th Round FA Cup clash as well.

Shaqiri has now started two games in a row for Liverpool but will move back to the bench on Sunday to make way for Henderson – if fit, or else Curtis Jones could come into the side.

James Milner could also get a start if Jurgen Klopp is looking to rest Gini Wijnaldum.

Firmino and Mo Salah both came off the bench in midweek but the duo will return to the starting line-up at Old Trafford on Sunday – in place of Origi and Oxlade-Chamberlain. Sadio Mane will keep his place on the left wing.
