Liverpool beat Manchester City on Saturday to book a place in the FA Cup final and just three days later, they take on Manchester United at Anfield.

The Reds’ dream of a quadruple are still alive after beating Man City and if they can knock over Man United then they will temporarily move to the top spot on the Premier League table as well.

Liverpool have a very good record vs United as they have scored nine goals in their previous two meetings. The Merseyside outfit are undefeated in their last 10 home matches in the Premier League and in a major power show, they have kept clean sheets in five out of their previous six home matches in the league.

The Anfield outfit have been scoring at a rate of 2.5 goals per match this season and with the kind of defensive form that Man United are in, this one should be a fairly regulation win for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Liverpool team news vs Manchester United:

The Reds are injury-free so naming a strong side will not be a problem for Klopp but since Liverpool have played on Saturday, the manager will have to rest some players.

Joel Matip will be pushing for a place in the first XI and there’s a big chance that he will be coming into the side to replace Ibrahima Konate.

Naby Keita was underwhelming against Man City on Saturday but he played only 73 minutes meaning he will be fresh to start if required. Keita though is very much injury-prone so the manager will likely keep him on the bench.

Jordan Henderson should come into midfield and partner Thiago and Fabinho in midfield.

Mo Salah has recently been out of form for Liverpool but since Manchester United’s defence is in complete disarray, this will be the perfect game for the Egyptian to bring back his form.

Sadio Mane was seen with ice strapped to his foot after the City match but he will be fit to start on Tuesday night. Luis Diaz though will move to the bench and make way for Diogo Jota.

If Jota comes into the starting line up then Sadio Mane will move to the left flank while the Portuguese international plays through the middle.

If Mane does not have a problem then Liverpool has no injuries to deal with going into the Manchester United tie.
