Liverpool picked up yet another win in the Premier League in midweek beating West Ham United away at the London Stadium.

And this win now means that Jurgen Klopp’s men have now beaten every Premier League side this season and right now they hold a 19 point lead at the top of the table.

Liverpool have won their last 19 home matches in the Premier League and this run should be expected once again this weekend since the Reds take on Southampton at home.

Southampton might have won four out of their last six matches but Liverpool have kept a clean sheet in 8 of their last 9 league matches so clearly this should be an easy three points for the Anfield outfit.

Liverpool team news vs Saints:

The defensive line of Joe Gomes – Van Dijk – Robertson and Alexander-Arnold is more or less fixed barring a late injury to any one of these players.

James Milner remains sidelined with an injury but the good news for Klopp is that Fabinho has returned back from injury and will start in defensive midfield for the Reds.

Adama Lallana is also sidelined and right now there are doubts over his participation in which case Henderson and Wijnaldum will play in midfield alongside the Brazilian.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was on the scoresheet for Liverpool against the Hammers in midweek but the player could be rested for the Saints game.

Sadio Mane has picked up a hamstring injury which will keep him on the sidelines for a couple of more weeks meaning Divock Origi is the obvious choice to replace him on the left flank.

But Origi came off with cramp against West Ham in midweek and some reports claim the forward might not be fit in time to take on Southampton on Saturday.

And if Origi cannot be available for selection then there might be a chance that we see January signing Minamino play down that flank since Klopp has already used him upfront during the FA Cup draw vs Shrewsbury.

Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah will keep their place in the front three as usual.
