Liverpool have so far just dropped two points in the Premier League and next up they take on Watford FC at Anfield on Saturday.

Liverpool are undefeated in their last 46 home matches in the Premier League and they should also be able to pick up three easy points vs the Hornets during the weekend.

While the Reds have been on a winning spree but the manager will surely be a bit tensed since they have a really busy festive schedule coming up which means Klopp will have no other option but to rest some of his key players.

In midweek, Liverpool played in the Champions League and the manager named his strongest side. But during the weekend, he is expected to bring him some of his second-string players into the starting line-up.

Liverpool team news vs Watford:

Dejan Lovren seemed to have picked up an injury during the Salzburg clash as he was replaced by Joe Gomez. And speaking after the match, Jurgen Klopp failed to provide any major updates on the defender’s condition.

“We hope that it’s exactly the same as last time,” Jurgen Klopp said in the post-match press conference.

“He felt something and we made the decision. It’s of course not cool.

“He played really well and was very important. We don’t know more in the moment. It felt similar like last time, that’s it. We have to see.”

If Lovren cannot make himself fit then it will be Joe Gomez who will play alongside Van Dijk since Joel Matip still remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Fabinho like Matip is also ruled out for Liverpool meaning it will once again be Jordan Henderson who will play in defensive midfield against the Hornets during the weekend.

Naby Keita has now started back-to-back games in midfield for Liverpool so we doubt if Klopp will hand him yet another start.

If the manager would want to rest Keita then James Milner will be the logical choice to replace him as Wijnaldum is expected to keep his place in the starting line-up.

Sadio Mane was rested last weekend but featured vs Salzburg and the winger should keep his place against the Hornets as well.

Mo Salah put his name on the scoresheet during Liverpool’s final Champions League game in midweek but the Egyptian could be rested during the weekend meaning Xherdan Shaqiri could come into the side.

Roberto Firmino also started in midweek against Salzburg and the Brazilian is expected to move to the bench in order to make way for Divock Origi.
