Loris Karius

Liverpool keeper Loris Karius is currently out on loan to Besiktas but he’s making plans to return back to England at the end of this season – as per reports.

The keeper is in the process of terminating his contract with the Turkish club over unpaid wages meaning he is set to report back to Anfield in the coming few months.

“Karius has gone to FIFA over his unpaid wages and termination of his contract. He wants us to pay him for the months he hasn’t played,” Besiktas board member Torunogullari is alleged to have said.

“He wants to leave, and that’s his decision. We don’t want to make an undeserved payment.”

But once he returns back to Anfield, Jurgen Klopp has no plans of holding onto him and as per the latest reports, the keeper is on his way to Wolves next season.

As per the news, Wolves have already agreed on a deal with Liverpool to sign the German and most probably this move will be a permanent one.

Is Santo taking a gamble with Loris Karius?

Loris Karius has had a terrible time since his howlers vs Real Madrid in the Champions League but this season the player has done a more than a decent job with Besiktas – keeping eight clean sheets over 25 league matches.

Liverpool clearly do not need his services now that they have Alisson and also Adrian for backup but Wolves can certainly put him to good use.

Rui Patricio is already 32 years old and sooner than later the manager will have to find a long-term replacement for the Portuguese international.

And if Loris Karius can have a good enough season at Molineux then the 26-year-old could very well be the next No 1 for Wolves.

Yes, taking in the German is a very big gamble from the Wolves boss but Karius is by no means a poor keeper, it’s just that he needs some confidence under his belt to reclaim his form.
