Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is currently out on loan to La Liga side Atletico Madrid and it seems like Simeone is planning to send him back to the EPL, according to Sports Mole.
The report claims: “Arsenal are reportedly considering recalling Lucas Torreira from his Atletico Madrid loan spell in order to get the midfielder off their books permanently.
“The Uruguay international has spent the past four months on loan at the Wanda Metropolitano after falling out of favour under Mikel Arteta.
“Torreira has started only two games for Atletico in La Liga and the Champions League, though, and Tuttomercato suggests that he could be heading back to North London.
“However, the Gunners supposedly have no plans to keep the 24-year-old and will instead look to offload him on a permanent basis.”

Lucas Torreira has been with Arsenal since the summer of 2018 but he’s never been able to carve out a niche for himself at the Emirates stadium.
At the start of the 2020-21 season, he was sent out on loan to Atletico Madrid and so far, he’s played in only nine league games for them.
It’s not a surprise that Atletico do not want to hold onto him for the remainder of the season and right now, Ligue 1 side AS Monaco are the front runners in signing the South American.
AS Monaco have offered Lucas Torreira a three-year-deal at the club and if the details of the transfer work out then Mikel Arteta has no problem in letting the player leave this month.
Lucas Torreira still has two years left on his current deal with Arsenal so in theory, the Gunners are not in a hurry to send him out permanently. But if they manage to sell him this month then Mikel Arteta will get a significant amount of cash boost in the transfer market.
