Lucas Torreira joined Arsenal from Sampdoria last summer but there are reports that Unai Emery might already be planning to sell him off.

The Gunners are badly in need of money for the summer transfer window and with Marco Giampaolo eager to sign him at AC Milan there is every possibility that Emery might sanction the midfielder’s sale this transfer window.

Now, Lucas Torriera has claimed that he has still not adjusted to life in England thus further fueling his transfer rumours.

Asked about life in England, he told Uruguayan outlet Ovacion(as reported): “I don’t know if there are many things that I enjoy.

“I think it was better in Italy. England is a totally different world, a very large country.

“The language [barrier] has stopped me, to be able to relate with my teammates and with the people. It is very difficult when you can’t have dialogue.

“And so is the climate. You go out in the morning and it is cloudy, you arrive late to your home and it is cloudy.

“It is strange a little bit, the sun, the more of us that we are here and we are accustomed to having always or almost always the sun. But as the years pass, I’m going to be adapting.”

After these comments, many people have claimed that Lucas Torriera is feeling homesick which is why he could try and force a move out of England and head back to Italy this summer.

As of now, there are no indications that Lucas Torriera will be offloaded by Arsenal but it was under Giampaolo, the Uruguayan played his best football.

And if the midfielder does have the opportunity to reunite with his former Sampdoria boss, there is every chance that he might try and force a move back to Italy.
