Manchester City take on Tottenham Hotspur today in a high-profile clash in the English Premier League.

City need to focus:

Man City will look to bounce back after suffering a humiliating defeat at the hand of Everton last week. The loss punched a severe blow to Man City’s title hopes as they are currently ten points behind league leaders Chelsea. Even though it may not look like a huge margin to cover up but Conte’s men are in sublime for this season. And for them to lose such a huge margin is a far fetched dream for City.

All they can do now is play their remaining matches well and hope that at some point Chelsea fumble. The City manager has come under fire recently after he has failed to replicate his previous successes at Barcelona and Bayern. He will be definitely feeling the heat and will be eager to bounce back after last weekend’s defeat.

City unveiled their newest signing Gabriel Jesus this week, and he will be immediately thrown into the action as Pep Guardiola has said that he is fit and available for selection. On the other hand, City will miss the services of Fernandinho as he is suspended for the match.

‘Dele’ is Delivering:

Tottenham Hotspur,  come into this match on the back of some amazing form. The have won all their previous five fixtures. And Spur’s Dele Alli has literally been scoring goals at will during this season. He has already managed to bag 10 goals this year and he is one of the potential threats that City should look out for. Spurs are seven points behind Chelsea and they will be looking to win this match to close the gap with Chelsea and put pressure on the leaders.

Spurs have the edge:

Any given day a Pep Guardiola managed City would have been favourites to win against Spurs but the current scenario has a whole different story to tell. It is City, who are facing the heat and have more pressure to deliver. And, other the other hand Spurs come into this match as favourites. And Spurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino will be looking to use the momentum that his team as gathered to see off Manchester City.
