According to a report by the Football Insider, Man City are no longer going to allow any of their players to join Arsenal.

To many people’s surprise, Pep Guardiola let join Gabriel Jesus and Zinchenko join the North London side last year and both these players have turned out to be influential players for the Gunners this season.

Mikel Arteta and Guardiola share a great relationship which is probably why the Man City manager had allowed two important and influential players to join a direct rival.

Pep Guardiola must have been thinking that Arsenal will still take a few more seasons to complete a rebuild which is probably why he greenlighted the sales. However, the Gunners have surpassed all expectations this season and they are en route to winning the Premier League.

The North London side are still sitting at the top of the table with Manchester City playing catchup. And this is probably the major reason why Pep has decided not to send any more players to the Emirates Stadium.

Will Arsenal raid Man City this summer as well?

Zinchenko and Jesus are two players who perfectly suit Mikel Arteta’s style of play but we don’t think Man City have any other players that can be of much use to Arsenal.

The only first-team player who will be up for sale is Kalvin Phillips and even though the Gunners need a central midfielder for the next season but they already have their targets in sight. West Ham’s Declan Rice is their number one priority with the backup options being Caicedo and Amadou Onana.

Pep Guardiola has understood that Arsenal might just win the league this season and then they will go toe to toe with Man City which is why the Spanish manager doesn’t want to supply any further ammunition to his compatriot.
