Man City have managed to keep their noses in front in the Premier League by drawing their home game against Liverpool 2-2 on Sunday.

This crucial draw means Man City have maintained their one-point lead at the top of the table so it’s now on them to wrap up the title race.

City went ahead on two occasions but each time, Liverpool managed to dig deep and get back on level terms. Overall, City were the better side on the night but they will have only one point to show for all their attacking endeavours.

City’s remaining league matches are very much winnable so we don’t see Pep Guardiola’s side dropping any more unnecessary points from now until the end of the season. The manager will obviously be content with the draw but his players had several chances to take the lead and wrap up all the three points so if they stumble in the coming weeks, Pep will look back at these missed chances.
