Man City kicked off their Premier League campaign with a comfortable win over West Ham United and next up, they have a home game against Bournemouth.

Bournemouth also picked up a win in gameweek one but they will have very little hope from this match, more so cause they haven’t beaten City in their previous 11 meetings.

Manchester City picked up from where they left off last season and right now, they are oozing with confidence. They have won 12 out of their last 14 home games and we expect nothing less this weekend as well.

Man City’s team news for Saturday:

Pep Guardiola has an almost fully-fit squad to choose from with Aymeric Laporte being the only absentee. The defender will be out until September as he recovers from knee surgery.

The manager said last month: “I think he will be out in August, and maybe in September, he will start to be with us. We will see.”

John Stones was only fit enough to be on the bench vs West Ham United but the England international is going to replace Nathan Ake in central defence this weekend.

Kalvin Phillips came on in the 89th minute against Moyes’ side but since Bournemouth are not the toughest of opponents, we think the Man City manager will hand the ex-Leeds man his first start at the club.

Bernardo Silva was left out of the first XI amidst reports linking him to Barcelona and will see a repeat of the same because the midfielder has moved even closer to joining the Camp Nou outfit. By the time this match is played, there’s every chance that Silva moves out of Man City.

With Silva possibly out of the picture, Gundogan will hold onto his place alongside Kevin De Bruyne.

Phil Foden played on the right wing last weekend but for the Bournemouth game, Riyad Mahrez will come back into the side. We don’t expect Jack Grealish to move to the bench.

Erling Haaland scored a brace in his competitive debut for Man City and we are expecting him to put up a show on Saturday as well.

Man City predicted line up vs AFC Bournemouth:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-3-3): Ederson; Ruben Dias, Stones, Walker, Cancelo; Phillips/Rodri, Gundogan, De Bruyne; Mahrez/Foden, Grealish, Haaland.
