Man City are back in the UEFA Champions League this week as they take on Club Brugge in their Group A fixture.

City go into this game sitting third in their group with three points while Club Brugge are one point better off them. Brugge are currently level on points with group leaders PSG and they go into this week’s game unbeaten in their previous seven matches.

Guardiola is not going to take Brugge lightly but we don’t see an upset coming, especially after the way the Etihad outfit have been performing in the past few weeks.

The Man City boss missed a few players during the weekend due to the tight international fixtures but all of them are expected to come back into the side in midweek.

Man City team news vs Club Brugge:

Man City missed Ederson against Burnley but the keeper will return in goal for their Champions League clash.

Aymeric Laporte and John Stones paired up in defence vs Burnley as Ruben Dias was rested. But this time around, Dias is going to come back into the side. We will have to wait and see whether Pep rests Laporte or Stones.

Rodri will reprise his role in defensive midfield along with Kevin De Bruyne. Bernardo Silva was the star of the show during the weekend but the Portuguese might be rested as Ilkay Gundogan comes into the starting line up.

Gundogan returned to the bench vs Burnley but he was an unused sub in that 2-0 win.

Jack Grealish was another first-team player who was unused during the weekend but he too will come back into the side. This means Raheem Sterling is likely to move to the bench.

Gabriel Jesus was another player who was absent for the Premier League game but he’s expected to be available for the Champions League clash.

Ferran Torres is sidelined with a foot fracture so the Man City manager will once again have to use a false-nine. We expect Phil Foden to start in this role.

Man City predicted line up vs Club Brugge:

Predicted Starting Line up: Ederson; Walker, Cancelo, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte/John Stones; Rodri, De Bruyne, Gundogan; Phil Foden, Jesus, Grealish.
