Man City have been on a roll in the Premier League this season but Liverpool have managed to come within touching distance of Pep Guardiola’s side. Next up, City take on Crystal Palace and if they cannot win on Monday then Liverpool will be able to catch up with them.

Liverpool are currently just three points behind the league leaders so if City drop points against Palace then Jurgen Klopp will have the opportunity to get on level terms – if they can win their game-in-hand. But having said that, we doubt if Man City are going to drop points on Monday.

City have won 16 of their last 18 matches in the Premier League but the Eagles’ recent form has been pretty solid as they have not tasted defeat in their previous four games. Vieira’s side should be able to cause a few hiccups on Monday but we doubt if they will be able to cause any substantial damage.

Pep Guardiola has a few injuries going into this tie but Manchester City’s next few games are easy ones so the manager won’t be too worried about his team selection.

Man City team news vs Crystal Palace:

Ruben Dias’ injury is a bit of concern for the Man City boss, more so since Nathan Ake is also facing a race against time to be fully fit.

Thankfully, the manager has Laporte and Stones as backups and this pairing should be able to do the job just fine against a team like Crystal Palace.

Cancelo should be able to recover from his illness meaning he will come straight back into the side at left-back while Kyle Walker returns from suspension on the other side of defence.

Apart from these players, there are no significant injury concerns for Man City but the forward and the midfield areas could see a bit of a reshuffle.

Several first-team players were rested against Sporting last week but most of them should come back to the starting line up on Monday.

The likes of Mahrez, De Bruyne and Rodri were all rested for the Champions League but they will surely start against the Eagles.

Man City predicted line up vs Crystal Palace:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-3-3): Ederson; Stones, Laporte, Walker, Cancelo; Rodri, Kevin de Bruyne, Bernardo Silva; Riyad Mahrez, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden.
