Man City are maintaining the pressure on league leaders Arsenal and next up, they have a tricky tie at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace.

Palace are in really poor form as they have failed to win a match in 10 attempts and are currently 12th on the Premier League table. However, Vieira’s team has some great individual players who cause trouble if they can find their rhythm.

Man City are just five points behind the Gunners so they will need to win each and every match and hope that Arsenal slip up in the coming months. City will play in Europe next week and since that tie with Leipzig is balanced at 1-1, Pep Guardiola will have one eye on that fixture as well.

Manchester City’s team news and injuries:

Usually, before a Champions League game, Pep Guardiola rotates his starting line up but since Leipzig are not a very strong side, we don’t think the manager will make wholesale changes.

The Man City boss has used a 3-4-3 formation in the previous few games but we think he will resort to the tried and tested 4-2-3-1 system.

Both John Stones and Ayemric Laporte are fully fit and raring to go but we don’t think either Ruben Dias or Akanji will be dropped.

With Joao Cancelo gone, it’s going to be Nathan Ake who will play at left-back with Walker playing on the other side of defence.

Bernardo Silva was used as a sub against Newcastle United but the Portuguese international is likely to come into the starting line up, replacing Gundogan.

Kalvin Phillips is still struggling to break into the team because Pep Guardiola has the utmost faith in Rodri as his first-choice defensive midfielder.

Phil Foden aggravated his foot injury during the win over Newcastle United and he will be assessed before the weekend. If he is not available then Jack Grealish will hold onto his place in the side with Mahrez coming into the team, on the right-hand side.

Man City predicted line up vs Crystal Palace:

Predicted Starting XI(4-2-3-1): Ederson; Walker, Akanji, Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake; Silva, Rodri; De Bruyne, Grealish, Foden/Mahrez; Haaland.
