Man City will take on Manchester United in the Premier League in their final game before the international break kicks in and they will need to pick up all three points if they wish to maintain the pressure on Chelsea and Liverpool.

City are currently five points behind the league leaders meaning a loss on Saturday could ideally push them eight points behind the Blues. And not to mention they would have lost to a Man United side who are very much down in confidence.

Man City are undefeated in 17 out of their previous 19 away league matches but at the same time, Manchester United have managed to keep five clean sheets in the previous six Manchester Derbies. The kind of form that United are in right now, Pep’s side are the overwhelming favourites to pick up a win but having said that, the OT outfit have superstars who can change the course of a game in the blink of an eye.

Pep Guardiola has an almost fully fit squad to choose from so he will be able to name his strongest XI on Saturday. But since most of his regular starters played in midweek against Brugge there’s a chance of fatigue that could creep in.

Man City team news vs Manchester United:

Aymeric Laporte will miss out due to his suspension meaning John Stones will finally come into the side in a Premier League game and partner Ruben Dias.

Both Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo played in the 4-1 Champions League win and they will retain their place for the Manchester derby.

Kevin De Bruyne came off the bench in midweek but the Belgian is a guaranteed starter at Old Trafford and he will replace Ilkay Gundogan in midfield.

Bernardo Silva has been slowly racking up performances this season and he will be the second central midfield alongside Rodri.

The absence of Ferran Torres means the Man City boss will once again have to play with a false nine and if the recent matches are an indication then Phil Foden should be playing in that role once again.

Raheem Sterling was used as a sub vs Club Brugge but he’s struggling to get starts this season and we believe Guardiola is not going to change his stance on Saturday. Even though the England international was one of the goalscorers in midweek but the manager has not trusted him in big matches this season.

If Sterling starts on the bench then Jack Grealish will be able to hold onto his place otherwise it’s Sterling who is going to play as the left-winger. Riyad Mahrez will be the right-winger which means Gabriel Jesus is going to miss out.
