Man City have wrapped up the Premier League title and now their next focus will be to win their seventh FA Cup title when they face Manchester United next weekend.

Manchester City are looking to secure a treble and if they can win on Sunday, they will be just one step away from this elusive achievement.

The City manager will also have one eye on that UCL final against Inter but there’s a full week gap between these two finals so there’s no way Pep will resting his important players at Wembley.

As usual, Man City have been in top form this season and they will obviously be the overwhelming favourites to win on Sunday. They are winless in their previous two matches but in those games, Guardiola named a second-fiddle team because his side had already won the EPL.

Man City have won three out of their last five meetings against their local rivals and in these five matches, they have scored as many as 13 goals.

Manchester City’s team news and injuries:

Some important players like Ruben Dias, KDB and Jack Grealish did not feature in the 1-0 loss to Brentford at the weekend and immediately, there were injury concerns.

Speaking after the match, Pep Guardiola confirmed that some of these missing players have small niggles but they should be fit in time to play in the FA Cup final.

“We have four or five players with niggles, not big injuries, but they are injuries,” said Guardiola, as quoted by the club’s official website.

“After the game against Brighton, Kevin felt the same feelings that he had before, weeks ago when he could not play a few games. It is what it is.

“It’s not a big issue, I think they will be ready. They have to be ready for the training sessions and I am going to see them in three days and that’s why today was so important to see these players and how they are.

“Wednesday they will train and recover tomorrow. Hopefully (they will be OK), but right now, I don’t know.”

Kyle Walker has played each and every minute of City’s previous six matches so the England international will obviously be exhausted but Guardiola won’t be able to rest him because he will need a pacey defender to stop Rashford and Garnacho out on the right-hand side of defence.

Ake’s return is a big boost though and he is surely going to start but this is bad news for Manuel Akanji who is likely to be on the bench on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola rest both John Stones and Rodri at the weekend so they will come back into the starting line up.

Phil Foden has fallen down the pecking order during the final quarter of the season and once again the Man City boss is going to rely on Jack Grealish as his left-sided winger.

Erling Haaland will be the focal point for Man City’s attack at Wembley and if he can find proper spaces then there will be no stopping the Cityzens.
