Man City picked up another comfortable win in the Premier League, this time beating Everton 3-0. But they will have very little time to celebrate this victory as they are back in the Champions League in just three days time.

Man City take on PSG in their fifth match of Group A and Pep Guardiola’s side need to pick up a win if they wish to open up a significant gap at the top of the table. Going into this game, PSG are just one point behind City meaning even a draw will put them level on points with the Premier League side.

Guardiola has a few injury concerns going into this key game but the manager very tactfully rested a handful of his regular starters on Sunday which means they will be properly rested for Wednesday’s game.

Man City do go into his game as the slight favourites but PSG boasts of some of the best attacking talents in world football so there’s no way anyone can write them off – especially since they are unbeaten in their previous seven games.

Man City team news vs PSG:

Ruben Dias was rested on Sunday but the central defender will come back into the side in midweek, possibly replacing John Stones.

Apart from this one change, we don’t think Pep Guardiola will be ready to make any other rotations in his backline, barring a late injury crisis.

Kevin De Bruyne has tested positive for COVID which is why he has to isolate for 10 days. This means he will be unavailable for selection against PSG and possibly against West Ham United as well.

The absence of De Bruyne means Bernardo Silva will stick to his midfield role alongside Rodri and Gungdogan.

Riyad Mahrez was used as a sub on Sunday as Raheem Sterling played on the right flank with young Cole Palmer operating as the centre-forward.

PSG though are a completely different beast so Guardiola is not going to take any such gambles on Wednesday. Riyad Mahrez will come back into the side on the right-hand side while Raheem Sterling will play as the false nine.

This arrangement means Gabriel Jesus will once again miss out on the opportunity to get a start although Ferran Torres is out injured.

Jack Grealish missed the Everton win with an injury and he will be tough and go in midweek as well. If the England international is not fit to start then Phil Foden will hold onto his place on the left flank.

Man City predicted line up vs PSG:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-3-3): Ederson; Walker, Cancelo, Ruben Dias, Laporte; Rodri, Gundogan, Bernardo Silva; Foden/Grealish, Sterling, Riyad Mahrez.
