Man City have reclaimed the top spot on the Premier League table and they will now look to hold onto that position by beating West Ham United.

The Cityzens welcome Moyes’ team in a midweek clash and with the form that they are in, this one should be a regulation win for the home side. Manchester City have won their previous eight league games and they should make it nine in a row without any stumbles.

The Hammers are 15th on the league table but they are just four points away from the relegation zone which means the London side cannot afford to drop any more points. Moyes will be very realistic going into this midweek clash so even a draw will be a great result for him.

Manchester City’s team news and possible rotations:

Man City have a really tough schedule in the next couple of weeks because after the West Ham game, they face Leeds on Saturday and then they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Pep Guardiola is famous for making random rotations to his starting lineups and this packed fixture list is the perfect opportunity for him to chop and change.

Nathan Ake is in line to make a comeback from his hamstring injury but we don’t think Pep will risk him with the Madrid game just around the corner. The Man City boss will be more than happy to rely on Kyle Walker as the third centre-back.

Kevin De Bruyne missed the Fulham win and he is a doubt for the midweek tie as well. Guardiola told the press that he is less optimistic about the playmaker being fully fit but Ake is almost 100% fit.

The Man City said in his pre-match press conference: “Nathan trained yesterday and feels good,

“Kevin’s started to move but didn’t train with the team – we have training in a few hours, and we’ll see how they feel.”

If De Bruyne is not available then Bernardo Silva is expected to play in midfield. Against Fulham, Alvarez played in that role but we think Pep is going to bring Silva in midfield and then use Phil Foden or Mahrez on the right-hand side.

Alvarez gave a man-of-the-match performance at the weekend but the Man City manager is surely going to rotate his starting XI to avoid any unwanted injuries.
