Arsenal want Sergio Aguero Man City

Man City have already won the Premier League so all of Pep Guardiola’s focus will be now be on winning the Champions League final.

Manchester City still have one more game to play in the league which will be against Everton on Sunday and with the UCL final coming up next week, the manager is expected to name a second-fiddle side against the Toffees.

City have won their last 7 matches against Everton in all competitions but they have let their guard down a little bit in the past few weeks, losing two out of their previous three league matches. Thankfully, winning or losing will not have much of an effect on them so the Manchester City boys will be asked to go out and enjoy.

Some pundits think the manager will look at this game as an audition of sorts for the Champions League final so he is expected to name a pretty strong side on Sunday. Also, the last thing Pep Guardiola will want is to suffer a dent in confidence before the clash against Chelsea.

Man City team news vs Everton:

The Man City boss has hinted that he is not going to rest players due to the fear of picking up injuries but we doubt if all the regular first-team players will feature on Sunday.

He said in his pre-match press conference: “Joao can’t play because he was sent off. The rest are fit.

“I’m going to put the players out when I decide to win the game. We have six days until the UCL final, if one player is injured, unlucky, they can be injured today, tomorrow, the moment you put the boots on.”

Kyle Walker missed the Brighton game with an injury but he is fit and available for selection on Sunday, the manager has confirmed.

Guardiola said: “Kyle Walker couldn’t play against Brighton because of a twist in his ankle playing with his boys – he is OK now.”

Ruben Dias and John Stones have been the best centre-back pairing in the Premier League this season but both of them should be on the bench on Sunday with Nathan Ake and Aymeric Laporte playing in the middle of defence.

Benjamin Mendy is going to feature as the left full-back since Zinchenko is the one who is likely to play in the UCL final.

Ilkay Gundogan picked up a slight knock in midweek and we are expecting to see him in the starting line-up on Sunday. Rodri and Fernandinho are going to play up in central midfield.

Sergio Aguero has also returned from injury and this could be his final game in a Manchester City shirt. But Pep Guardiola has refused to name him as a guaranteed starter against Everton.

The manager told the press: “Sergio trained yesterday and today a little bit and tomorrow we will decide.

“As much as he can play he will play. He’s been injured, trained two days partially and tomorrow will be the same.”

Players like Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden are also going to remain on the bench so Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus are expected to come back into the side. If Sergio Aguero is not starting then it’s good news for Torres.

Man City’s possible starting XI vs Everton:

Predicted Line-up: Ederson; Ake, Laporte, Benjamin Mendy, Walker; Rodri, Fernandinho, Bernardo Silva; Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Torres/Aguero.
