Man City reached the Champions League final after knocking out PSG this week and they will now face Premier League rivals, Chelsea, in Istanbul.

But before these two giants meet at the European stage, Man City will take on Chelsea in the league this weekend, a game where Pep Guardiola’s side will be looking to reclaim the Premier League title.

Man City go into this game having won 20 of their last 22 matches in the league and after their superb display vs PSG on Tuesday, the Citizens are undoubtedly the favourites to win this weekend’s tie.

The manager does have the option to change things up a bit but Guardiola will be eager to wrap this up as quickly as possible so he can rest his first-team players which is why we expect the manager to name a full-strength starting line-up.

Man City go into this Saturday’s game having lost just one of their previous five league games but the silver lining for Chelsea will be the fact that the Etihad outfit have conceded in each one of their previous five Premier League games which they have played at home.

Man City team news vs Chelsea:

Zinchenko and Walker put in a fine shift against PSG in midweek but both of them are likely to be rested on Saturday as Cancelo and Benjamin Mendy get a chance to start.

John Stones is suspended for this game so Aymeric Laporte will partner Ruben Dias in central defence.

The Man City boss quite surprisingly chose to go with Fernandinho in defensive midfield vs PSG in the second leg and in the end, the Brazilian’s performance showed why he was chosen ahead of Rodri. This weekend though Rodri will come back into the side.

Riyad Mahrez and Foden were running the show for City in midweek with the former scoring both their goals in the second leg and Foden ending the match with a key assist.

Mahrez should keep his place in the starting line-up against Chelsea but there’s a chance Pep Guardiola will look to rest Phil Foden and bring in Raheem Sterling down that left flank.

Bernardo Silva also had a decent outing against PSG but the Man City boss is likely to call in a striker for Chelsea’s game so both Aguero and Gabriel Jesus are in contention. Personally, we think it’s Sergio Aguero who is more likely to get the nod since the Argentine’s expertise will come in real handy vs Thiago Silva.
