Man City picked up a marginal 2-1 win vs Borussia Dortmund in Champions League on Tuesday and now they shift their focus to the Premier League where they take on Leeds United.

Leeds United have had a roller coaster ride this season in the top division but Marcelo Bielsa is one man who has the capabilities to out-fox a manager like Pep Guardiola.

Leeds have managed to pick up back-to-back wins in the league and this will give them a lot of confidence going into Saturday’s game but Man City are on a different level altogether, winning 18 of their last 19 matches in the Premier League.

City go into this game with a 14-point lead at the top of the table and they are almost closing in on winning the title once again. But we just can’t write off Leeds causing a subtle blow to Guardiola’s title hopes this weekend.

Man City team news vs Leeds United:

Pep Guardiola is expected to make a few changes to his line-up from the Dortmund game, the first one being the inclusion of Aymeric Laporte in place of John Stones at centre-back.

Cancelo started at left-back in midweek but Benjamin Mendy is expected to come into the side vs the Elland Road outfit.

Rodri will most probably be rested with the second leg vs BVB in mind meaning Fernandinho will come back into the side for this one. De Bruyne will also have to watch this one from the bench, especially since the Man City boss has the perfect alternative in the form of Bernardo Silva.

Silva played as the centre-forward in midweek but is likely to take up De Bruyne’s role in midfield on Saturday.

Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus were a bit shockingly kept on the substitutes bench vs Dortmund but we expect both of them to get starts against Leeds United. This would mean Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden will be properly rested for the Champions League second leg.

If Bernardo Silva moves into midfield then Sergio Aguero is also likely to come back into the side and play up front.
