Man City have been on a roll in the Premier League and but their winning run could be halted this weekend as they welcome arch-rivals Man United at the Etihad on Sunday.

City have won their last 15 matches in the league and right now they are maintaining a 14-point lead at the top of the table. So if they can pick up a win on Sunday then they are more or less guaranteed to lift the league title in the coming months.

Guardiola has a fully fit squad to choose from so he will name his strongest XI on Sunday so that he can wrap up the league title as soon as possible and then focus on the Champions League.

City have only gone behind once in their 28 matches in all competitions so, in every way, shape and form, the Citizens are clearly the favourites to win on Sunday. But having said that, Man United have maintained a great away record this season so if anybody can stop the City juggernaut then it’s Solskjaer’s team.

Man City team news vs Man United:

The defensive line of City have been really a class apart this season but against Wolves, John Stones was put on the bench. On Sunday though, the England international is expected to come back into the side, replacing Aymeric Laporte.

Gundogan came off the bench during the 4-1 win vs Wolves but he is going to be named in the starting line-up at the Etihad since he’s one of the most in-form players in the squad right now.

Gundogan coming back into the side means Bernardo Silva will most likely move back to the bench, despite him putting in a fine shift against Wolves.

Phil Foden remained an unused sub in midweek but the youngster is sure to start on one of the wings on Sunday meaning Riyad Mahrez should be a benchwarmer this time around.

Mahrez like Silva also had a great game in midweek but Raheem Sterling just cannot be moved out of the starting line-up right now so it will be the Algerian who will make way.

Sergio Aguero has returned from injury but he has been used sparingly this season by Guardiola and we are almost certain that it will be Gabriel Jesus who will be chosen ahead of the Argentinian.
