Man United take on AFC Bournemouth in the English Premier League this Saturday and the Red Devils will temporarily have the chance of moving into the third spot of the table.

Solskjaer has not made too many changes to his starting XI in the past couple of matches but the Man United manager has admitted that he could rest some of his regular players when his side take on the Cherries.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, the manager said: “I have to wait and see because there’s a couple that have got some knocks and bruises.

“If there are a couple of changes, don’t be surprised, not just because of fitness, but there are so many games and I have to look after the players.

“It would be nice to play the team that performed so well against Sheffield United at home last time and played so well against Brighton. Let’s wait and see how everyone is after training – I’ve not seen them this morning.

“I’ve got many reasons to play the same team, but I’ve also got a few reasons to rotate one or two who have played so well earlier in the season.

“Bournemouth, yeah, they’re struggling and are fighting against relegation, which is not a nice place to be in, but they’ll come here and fight for points. They’re one of the best teams in the league on set plays, we know that, they scored against us at Old Trafford last year on set plays, so we know that we have to stop quite a few things with them.

“But then again if we play to our best, we should create enough chances to win the game.”

It will be interesting to see if the manager opts to rest January signing Bruno Fernandes since the Portuguese has played constantly over the past couple of matches.

Players like Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial could also move to the bench as Brandon Williams and Odion Ighalo could come into the side vs the Cherries.
