Man United beat arch-rivals Man City 2-1 in the Premier League during the weekend and with that, the Red Devils have climbed to the 5th spot on the table.

Rashford scored the opening goal from the penalty spot and it was Anthony Martial who added the second right before the half-hour mark.

While Man United might have only scored two goals on the night but they could have easily ended up with four or five on the night had it not been due to a few good saves from Ederson and an intervention from the crossbar.

And speaking on Sky Sports, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has chosen to pay the ultimate compliment to the Man United frontmen.

“I think it’s the best 30 minutes I have seen anyone play against Manchester City for the past three years,” Carragher said on Monday Night Football via MEN.

“Liverpool at Anfield in the Champions League game certainly did well but this was at the Etihad, this was away, and I thought it was devastating and it was Man United going at their best.

“When United’s front three run forward and are playing like that, they are as good as the City three or the Liverpool three, they’re just not consistent enough and that is the problem. But at the weekend they were out of this world.”

Solskjaer has clearly been trying to make his side play good counter-attacking football and during the past couple of games, it finally looks like the forwards are coming in sync.

Against Sheffield United, we saw glimpses of what the likes of James and Rashford are capable of doing and during the last two league matches, everything that the United forwards have turned has turned into gold.

Next up, Man United take on Alkmaar in the Europa League and the manager is sure to rest some of his first-team regulars for this match since the OT outfit have already secured qualification to the knockout stages of the competition.
