Man United Handed A Triple Injury Boost Ahead Of Man City Clash: But Will Any Of Them Get A Start?

Manchester United have been given a major injury boost ahead of their high profile clash against Manchester City on Sunday.

Man United will already be without the services of Paul Pogba who was shown a direct red card during last weekend’s clash against Arsenal and in such a time the return of some of his key players will most certainly help Jose Mourinho. According to reports, the trio of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marouane Fellaini and Phil Jones are all fit to feature against Guardiola’s men at Old Trafford.

As per the Mirror, all the above-mentioned players have passed the fitness test and will feature in the matchday squad on Sunday.

Zlatan made a miraculous recovery from an ACL injury within just 7 months but was unavailable during the Arsenal match last weekend as Mourinho claimed that the Swede still needed some time in order to be fully fit. But now that he is back, Zlatan will certainly be on the bench against City on Sunday and might come on as a late substitute if needed.

Both Fellaini and Jones were also sidelined with injuries during the past couple of matches but now their return gives Mourinho an added boost. While the manager might know throw them back into action immediately but they will be on the bench – that’s for sure.
