Dean Henderson or David De Gea Man United

Man United currently have David De Gea as their first-choice keeper but 23-year-old Dean Henderson has already been pushing for a place in the first XI.

This season, Henderson is out on loan to Sheffield United where the Man United academy lad has been one of the best players – featuring in 27 Premier League games. And manager Chris Wilder has been so impressed with the keeper that he recently expressed the desire to keep him at the club.

“I personally think it will be morally correct to leave [Henderson] playing with Sheffield United for the last 10 games of the season,” he told beIN Sports[via MEN].

“Because of the legalities and the situation regarding the expiry of the loan, they might take that decision [to recall him], but we are not a threat to Man Utd.

The keeper is scheduled to return back to Old Trafford in the summer but as per a report in the MEN, Man United have agreed to Wilder’s demand and are willing to send Dean Henderson back to Bramall Lane for yet another loan spell.

Will David De Gea prove his haters wrong this season?

While some people might feel this is the right way forward for Henderson but we think Solskjaer has made a really pitiable mistake by sending the youngster back to the Blades.

Yes, the Norwegian has a world-class keeper in the form of David De Gea but the reality is that the Spaniard’s form has been dipping with each passing season.

This year, he has been really average in front of goal for United and in turn, this was the perfect opportunity for Ole to bring someone like Dean Henderson into the starting XI.

Man United have really poor luck when it comes to getting good keepers and after ages, their academy has been able to produce a top-class keeper. But by keeping him out on loan, the Red Devils might be affecting the youngster’s thoughts and there’s a strong chance that Henderson might not look to return back to Old Trafford if De Gea remains the first-choice keeper for too long.
