Man United are back in the Premier League this weekend as they take on Brighton at Old Trafford. And in the build-up of the match, their manager has confirmed that he could be without some key first-team players on Sunday.

Anthony Martial and Victor Lindelof both picked up injuries while on international duty for their respective countries and Solskjaer has made it clear that both of them could be missing from the matchday squad.

But thankfully, things aren’t looking so dull for Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford since both of them will train with the squad on Saturday and if there’s no adverse effect then the pair is likely to feature on Sunday.

“They [Marcus and Mason] need to get through the session tomorrow [Saturday],” said the manager to the club’s official website.

“They both joined in this morning and hopefully they don’t get any reaction. If they complete the session tomorrow they’ll be available for selection.

“Neither of them [Anthony nor Victor] trained this morning. We are still waiting for final confirmation on how they are.”

How will Man United line up in attack vs Brighton?

If Martial, Rashford and Mason Greenwood all miss out then Ole will have no other option but to use Paul Pogba on the left wing with Daniel James playing on the right-hand side.

But if Rahford and Greenwood are deemed fit then the former will occupy the left-wing, allowing Pogba to slot back into midfield.

The absence of Martial should not be too much of a worry for the manager since Edinson Cavani is back to full fitness and the South American is expected to lead the line either ways.

Young Amad Diallo has been on the bench for the past few matches for Man United and given that Brighton are not one of the stronger sides in the Premier League, we might see him get some game-time towards the end of the match.
