After two rather shocking defeats at the start of the season, Man United have managed to stabilize their ship, picking up three wins on the trot.

Manchester United picked up another away win in midweek(vs Leicester) and next up, they take on Arsenal at home on Sunday.

United have massively improved in the previous few weeks and even though Arsenal are in top form, Erik ten Hag will be hopeful that his players can pick up all three points. Man United are undefeated in 17 of their last 19 home matches against Arsenal in all competitions and if they can replicate their performance against Liverpool then they can easily knock Arsenal to the ground.

The Red Devils are currently fifth on the Premier League table so a win could take them into the top four. The last time these two sides met at Old Trafford, United won that match 3-2 and Ten Hag won’t mind a similar scoreline.

Man United team news and injury updates for the Arsenal clash:

Erik ten Hag has taken tough calls to drop Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw to the bench and both these decisions have worked massively in favour of Man United.

After a long time, the United defence looks solid and not out of ideas. Each and everyone in the back line knows what he is doing and it is clearly Lisandro Martinez who is showing all the leadership skills at the back.

Casemiro has now made two appearances off the bench since joining but he’s a definite starter on Sunday. With Casemiro coming into the side, McTominay will move to the bench.

Eriksen is the one who’s been given the free role in midfield. At times, he drops deep to receive the ball and when United are on the front foot, he’s the one who’s building up all the play.

Eriksen’s introduction has taken a lot of pressure off Bruno Fernandes’ shoulders and the pair are once again going to start in midfield.

Anthony Martial is still recovering from an Achilles problem and the manager has made it clear that the Frenchman is not going to be ready for the Arsenal encounter.

He told the press: “Anthony Martial will not be available for Sunday. I cannot tell [when Martial will be back] at this moment.”

Ronaldo is another player who is warming the benches under the new manager and with Martial ruled out, one would think that CR7 is going to get a start.

However, we think the manager is once again going to rely on Rashford as his main striker because, with Cristiano in the team, Man United lose a lot of pace up front.

On Sunday, we should also see the debut of winger Antony who was signed this week from Ajax. Antony’s introduction means Anthony Elanga will make way.
