Man United have three games remaining this season in the Premier League and they still have a lot of work to do to be able to secure UCL football for the subsequent campaign.

Currently, they are fourth on the league table but Liverpool are breathing down their necks. Manchester United will need to win two out of their remaining three matches so that they finish in the top four and achieve the primary target they had set at the start of the season.

Their next league match is against AFC Bournemouth, a team who have escaped the clutches of relegation so they wouldn’t mind making life difficult for Man United.

Man United will be playing at the Vitality Stadium this weekend and Erik ten Hag’s side have been all over the place when they have played away from home. Thankfully, the Cherries have lost three of their previous five matches so the odds are very much in favour of Manchester United.

Manchester United’s team news and injuries:

Marcus Rashford missed the Wolves game with a small leg injury but in a major boost, Rashford along with McTominay has returned to training and should be fit for this weekend.

McTominay’s return is particularly promising news because Marcel Sabitzer has been ruled out for the remainder of the season which means after Casemiro and Eriksen, Fred and McTominay are the only midfield backups.

Raphael Varane was taken off in the Wolves game only as a ‘precautionary measure’ so he should be named in the starting line up. Lisandro Martinez remains sidelined with a long-term injury which means Lindelof will pair up with Varane.

Against Wolves, Alejandro Garnacho got some game time after a long injury lay-off and the youngster was like a breath of fresh air. It won’t be a surprise if Garnacho starts on the left wing with Marcus Rashford playing as the centre-forward.

Antony is the only genuine right-winger in the team so the Brazilian will get a start. Also, Jadon Sancho has been really underwhelming this season so it doesn’t make sense to rely on the England international in a crucial away game.

Man United predicted line up vs Bournemouth:

Predicted starting line up(4-2-3-1): De Gea; Shaw, Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Lindelof; Casemiro, Eriksen; Garnacho, Antony, Fernandes; Rashford.
