Man United beat Spurs in midweek and that was their best performance in a really long time. They will now be hoping to keep this form intact when they head to London to take on Chelsea.

Manchester United face the Blues on Saturday and a win in this tie will help the away side move above Graham Potter’s side on the Premier League table. Currently, only one point separates these two teams.

United are undefeated in 10 of their last 11 matches against Chelsea in all competitions and they haven’t tasted defeat in their previous five matches. Based on recent form and the fact that Ten Hag’s team have just beaten a top side like Spurs, they are the favourites to win at Stamford Bridge and move into the top four.

Erik ten Hag was really happy with his team’s performance on Wednesday night and even though the Ronaldo situation has caught a lot of attention, the manager has already dealt with this with an iron fist so there’s very little chance that it is going to affect the other players.

Man United’s team news and injuries:

Harry Maguire remains sidelined with an injury but even if he is fully fit, there’s no way he is going to break the partnership of Varane and Lisandro Martinez. The pair have been top notch and barring an injury, this is going to be the first-choice defensive pairing for Man United for the rest of the campaign.

Luke Shaw has once again moved ahead of Malacia in the left-back role and after his impactful performance vs Spurs, he is definitely starting on Saturday.

Casemiro has taken time to settle down at the club but he’s turning out to be the point of difference between this Man United team and the previous ones.

Fred adds more caution and defensive strength in the big games alongside which is why Erik ten Hag is likely to use him alongside Casemiro rather than bringing Christian Eriksen into the team from the very first minute.

The talk of the town is that Cristiano Ronaldo who refused to come on as a sub against Spurs and now Ten Hag has made it clear that CR7 is not going to be a part of the squad that will face Chelsea.

Ronaldo’s been banished from the first-team squad and as per reports, he is going to be training alone.

Now, if Anthony Martial is not back to full fitness then it will be Marcus Rashford who will once again lead the line with Sancho and Antony playing as the two wide attackers.

Man United predicted line up vs Chelsea:

Predicted Starting XI(4-2-3-1): De Gea; Martinez, Varane, Dalot, Luke Shaw; Casemiro, Fred; Fernandes, Sancho, Antony; Rashford.
