4-2-3-1 Man United’s predicted line up vs Crystal Palace: Sancho and Rashford return to the first XI?

Man United hit a new low after losing 4-0 to Brighton and Hove Albion and this defeat has effectively put their top-four hopes to rest.

In the final game of the season, Man United take on Crystal Palace, away from home and they will need to win on Sunday to make sure they at least get into the Europa League next season. United have lost a staggering 11 games this season in the Premier League and right now, they are sixth on the league table – 10 points behind fourth-placed Spurs.

While Manchester United have played really inadequately in recent weeks, Palace, on the other hand, have been in great form, winning two and drawing two out of their previous four outings. In fact, the Eagles have kept a clean sheet in their last four home league matches.

Ideally, this should be an easy win for Man United but after the 4-0 thrashing from Brighton, Rangnick will be more than content even if his side manages to scrape through to a victory. United haven’t won an away game in their last six games and there’s every chance that the Eagles hunt them down on Sunday.

Man United team news vs Crystal Palace:

Ralf Rangnick is not one to shy away from making bold selection moves so some pundits have predicted that the manager might use a host of youngsters on Sunday but we don’t think he will do that.

A Europa League spot is not yet secure and on top of that, Man United will want to end the season on a high and positive note. Personally, Rangnick has had to deal with a lot of criticism so even he will want to pull the curtains on his stint with a solid win.

Harry Maguire was on the bench in the Brighton game but that didn’t make much of a difference so he will come back into the side, in place of Victor Lindelof.

Luke Shaw was supposed to miss the rest of the season but he’s returned to training this week and the club has confirmed that the left-back is in contention to feature at Selhurst Park.

Telles has been really disappointing so if Shaw is 100% fit then he’s definitely getting a start.

Whenever Fred and McTominay haven’t paired up together, Manchester United have looked clueless in midfield so, with both of them available, Rangnick is surely going to use them on Sunday.

Juan Mata has played the last two matches for Man United but that was primarily because Jadon Sancho and Rashford were both missing but the English duo have also rejoined training and are in line to play against Palace.

Sancho had been out with tonsillitis while Marcus was recovering from bronchitis and their return will be a massive boost for their manager. Sancho is a guaranteed starter if he is ready but we will have to see if the interim boss puts Rashford ahead of Elanga or not.

Despite United’s miserable form, Ronaldo has still managed to score 18 Premier League goals this season so he is the obvious choice for the main centre-forward’s role.

Man United predicted line up vs Crystal Palace:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-2-3-1): De Gea; Maguire, Varane, Luke Shaw, Dalot; Fred, Scott McTominay; Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho, Elanga/Rashford; Ronaldo.
