Man United suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Brentford and things could get even worse because next up, they take on Liverpool.

United lost 4-0 to the Bees and they will need to shake off this disappointment really quick and be at their absolute best if they wish to pick up anything from Monday’s game.

Manchester United had a very decent summer training camp but all that good work has been washed down the drain after back-to-back losses in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have lost their four matches in the league and even though Liverpool are not in the best of their form but they are more than capable of dismantling this United side and tearing them to shreds.

To be honest, we don’t expect Man United to beat Liverpool on Monday night and even if they can pick up a draw, it will be a job well done from Erik ten Hag’s side. Also, after two discomfiting losses, everyone’s waiting to see how the United players react.

Man United team news and possible rotations for Monday:

Luke Shaw could be replaced by Tyrell Malacia because the England international has not been up to the mark this season.

Lisandro Martinez was massively bullied by the Bees forward line so it’s safe to say that Ten Hag is going to bring Raphael Varane into the side for the Liverpool game.

Victor Lindelof was missing last weekend due to a knock but he could be fit enough to be on the bench for the Liverpool game.

Varane should be partnering with Harry Maguire in central defence and there’s a chance Lisandro Martinez could move into midfield. Nunez is suspended for this game so Liverpool won’t be relying too much on ariel balls. This means the visitors will be playing a quick-passing game and Martinez could be the ideal man to block this.

Ariel duels are a problem for the summer signing but he is very good on the ball and can help stop Liverpool from playing their fast-paced football. He’s played in the defensive midfield role before for Ajax so that role is not alien for him.

The summer signing could play in central/defensive midfield alongside Fred or McTominay while Bruno Fernandes plays in the more advanced roles. There’s no way Erik ten Hag will start both Eriksen and Fernandes against a team like Liverpool.

Anthony Martial missed the first two games with an injury and there’s a chance he is not going to be ready for the Liverpool game as well. Even if he is available, we don’t think the manager will have the courage to push Ronaldo to the bench.

Rashford and Jadon Sancho have been underwhelming just like everyone else but the manager does not have too many options for the wider roles.

Man United predicted line up vs Liverpool:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-2-3-1): De Gea; Varane, Maguire, Malacia, Diogo Dalot; Martinez/Fred, McTominay; Bruno Fernandes, Rashford, Jadon Sancho; Ronaldo.
