Man United have finally picked up pace in the Premier League and next up, they will shift their focus to the Europa League where they face Real Sociedad on Thursday night.
United go into this game at the back of a smashing 3-1 win over Arsenal and after that victory, the Red Devils are beaming with confidence.
Man United are currently unbeaten in their last 18 home matches in the Europa League while on the other hand, Real Sociedad have never beaten an English opponent in Europe. This one should be an easy win for the EPL side even though the manager is expected to ring in several changes.
Manchester United have a fairly easy group which is why they will be eager to wrap things up quickly so that Erik ten Hag can rest his main players and use them solely in the domestic league.
Man United’s team news vs Real Sociedad:
Late signing Martin Dubravka is in line to make his debut this week as David De Gea is rested.
Lisandro Martinez picked up a knock in the Arsenal game so he is not going to be risked vs Sociedad. In fact, the whole back line is expected to change with the likes of Luke Shaw and Wan-Bissaka also coming into the team.
Casemiro has been coming off the bench since joining Man United but the Brazilian is expected to come into the side – in place of the in-form Scott McTominay.
Scott McTominay’s game by numbers vs. Arsenal:
100% pass accuracy
3 ground duels won
2 tackles won
1/1 dribbles completed
1 shot blocked

Fred will also get a start but Donny van de Beek is likely to miss out due to a knock. The manager is yet to deliver an update on the Dutchman but we think he is not going to be fit in time.
Rashford was another player who picked up a knock on Sunday so he too will be rested which means Anthony Elanga is expected to operate on the left wing.
Antony played only 58 minutes against Arsenal so the new arrival should get another start down the right-hand side.
With Anthony Martial still ruled out with an injury, Cristiano Ronaldo should finally come into the first XI. CR7 has very much fallen down the pecking order and since he’s now stuck at Man United, the Portuguese will have to be content with game time in the Europa League and cup competitions.
Man United predicted line up vs Real Sociedad:
Predicted Starting Line up(4-2-3-1): Martin Dubravka; Maguire, Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Wan-Bissaka; Casemiro, Fred, Bruno Fernandes/Van de Beek; Elanga, Ronaldo, Antony.
