Just a few weeks ago, Man United were one of the favourites to finish in the top four but suddenly with four games left to play Liverpool are just one point behind them.

Manchester United have lost two games on the trot and next up, they take on Wolves on Saturday and this one is a must-win for the Red Devils. United have a game in hand so they have the slightest buffer but Erik ten Hag will want to wrap up European qualification as early as possible.

Man United have kept the most clean sheets in the competition and playing at home, they are one of the strongest teams in Europe this season. Whenever they have played away from home, they have looked all over the place but because they will take on Wolves at Old Trafford, United should be able to pick up a win.

At the start of the season, Manchester United’s biggest target was to qualify for the Champions League and if they eventually miss out on that then this one will be considered a failed season.

Manchester United’s team news and injuries:

The injuries to Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane started the downfall of Man United and both of them are not going to play any further part this season.

Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof have done a great job in the centre-back roles and the pair will continue in those positions unless there’s a major mishap in defence.

David De Gea was the sole reason why Man United lost to West Ham United and with each passing game, it’s becoming more and more evident that the Spaniard will not be the number one next season.

Until now, Erik ten Hag has backed DDG but the manager is well aware of the weaknesses of his keeper. Many people have urged the manager to drop him but we think ETH will stick with De Gea until the end of the season.

Manchester United have gotten a full week’s rest so there won’t be any major changes to the starting line up which played at the London Stadium.

Malacia could move to the bench allowing Diogo Dalot to return and this is going to be the only change in defence. Since Man United are playing at home, Casemiro and Eriksen will both start with Bruno Fernandes playing in the No 10.

Weghorst played up front last weekend but this time around Anthony Martial will lead the line against Wolves. Alejandro Garnacho returned from injury and was on the bench against West Ham United and he will be pushing for a start on Saturday.
