Aston Villa want Sergio Romero Man United

Man United beat LASK comfortably in the Round of 16 of the Europa League and next up they will take on FC Copenhagen in the quarter-final.

This match will be played at a neutral venue in Cologne and will be a knockout game which is why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not be looking to take any major risks regarding his team selection.

Last week during the LASK game, the manager played his second fiddle side but in Germany, he is expected to name his regular starting XI.

The last time these two sides met was in 2006 in the Champions League group stage and surprisingly it was Copenhagen who came out 1-0 winners. But right now, Man United are undefeated in 20 of their last 21 Europa League matches so nobody really expects them to be knocked out.

Man United team news vs Copenhagen:

Sergio Romero is one of the rare players who should retain his place in the starting XI from last week’s game vs LASK while David De Gea watches from the bench.

Maguire and Lindelof will return as the first-choice central defensive partnership on Monday while Aaron Wan Bissaka reprises his role at right-back.

Luke Shaw will play no further part this season meaning young Brandon Williams will keep his place in the starting line-up.

Fred and Scott McTominay played in midfield against LASK but the duo of Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba will be recalled by the Man United boss.

Jesse Lingard started and also scored vs LASK during the second leg but he will move to the bench in order to make way for Bruno Fernandes.

Daniel James and Juan Mata will both move back to the bench as Marcus Rashford and young Mason Greenwood comes into the side.

Anthony Martial came off the bench to score vs LASK and the Frenchman will replace Odion Ighalo upfront vs Copenhagen on Monday for Man United.

Man United’s predicted XI vs Copenhagen:

Predicted Starting XI: Sergio Romero; Maguire, Lindelof, Williams, Wan-Bissaka; Pogba, Matic, Bruno Fernandes; Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial.
