Man United will face Crystal Palace in their final league game of the season and before that match, three key first-team players have returned to training.

Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford had been ruled out with tonsillitis and bronchitis while Luke Shaw was supposed to miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to remove metal bolts from his leg.

But, in a major boost, all these players have returned to training and the club has confirmed that all of them are in contention to face Palace on Sunday.

United’s last game was a shocking 4-0 loss to Brighton and in that match, Ralf Rangnick was without five first-team regulars so the return of Sancho, Rashford and Shaw will definitely be a plus for the interim boss.

With a top-four finish out of sight, the manager would ideally field youngsters in the final game of the season but he cannot afford to do that as well because Man United still need to secure a Europa League spot.

Rangnick will have to ensure that Manchester United do not drop out of the Europa League spots so he will have no other option but to use his strongest starting line-up on Sunday.

Jadon Sancho has been one of the rare good performers for Man United during the second half of the season so there’s a big chance that he is going to start but we doubt if Rashford will get a run-in.

Marcus Rashford has been really poor this season so the United boss is likely to keep his faith on young Anthony Elanga down the right-hand side.

Luke Shaw’s chances will depend on how fit he is by the time Man United head to Selhurst Park. He hasn’t played since the 3rd of April and has only been back on the grass on Tuesday so the manager will take a late call regarding his selection.
