Man United welcome Liverpool on Sunday and before this high-profile encounter, there are fears over the fitness of some first-team players.

The Red Devils played a really intense game in midweek against Atalanta and that 3-2 win saw a lot of players pick up niggles and knocks. Players like Fred and Rashford had to come off due to these knocks whereas fresh concerns have emerged over the fitness of Bruno Fernandes as well.

The Fernandes update has sent ripples across the Man United fan base but Solskjaer has come out to calm some nerves, stating that none of the injuries is serious.

“We’ve had some knocks, which you expect during games,” Ole told MUTV, as per Manutd.com.

“That’s good, that we get some players giving everything, and then we just have to assess them. I’m not going to rule anyone out from Sunday but I’m not sure if everyone’s going to be fit. Anthony is still working on his fitness, hopefully he’s come through today and let’s see how he is tomorrow.”

“Games like Wednesday will always bring knocks and bruises. We have two or three with knocks but I hope I can pick from a fit squad. Bruno might be a doubt but he’s doing everything he can to be fit.

“I can’t say if Fred will be fit or not. We might have the whole squad fit but may miss two or three. We’ll see.”

Solskjaer might have not given a totally negative update but at the same time, the manager has refused to declare that he has a fully fit squad.

We have a feeling that Fred and Marcus Rashford will be fit enough to start but there’s a slight question mark over the fitness of Bruno Fernandes.

If the Portuguese international is really injured there’s no way Ole will reveal such a sensitive detail in his press conference and put all his cards on the table.

We have to keep a close eye on this development since the selection or omission of Bruno will only be confirmed only when the official teamsheet is released.
