Man United take on Manchester City in the Premier League at Old Trafford this weekend and the Red Devils have a number of injury concerns going into this key match.

The first and perhaps the biggest one is centre-back Harry Maguire who missed the game against Derby County and now Solskjaer had admitted that the England international has picked up an ankle injury and he will be tough and go on Sunday.

“Well, he’s touch and go because he rolled his ankle but, hopefully, he’ll recover quickly,” he told reporters.

“I wasn’t going to rest him today, I didn’t give him a day off birthday-wise but I hope he’ll be fit.”

The absence of Harry Maguire could be a huge blow for Man United even though Ole has adequate cover in the form of Eric Bailly.

Maguire and Lindelof have formed a formidable partnership which could be ruined if the former is out injured and moreover the manager will have to flush the idea of playing a three-man backline down the drain if Harry is unavailable.

Apart from Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James too missed United’s FA Cup win and they too remain doubts for the Manchester Derby even though the manager has hinted that the duo should be fit in time.

“I hope so, yes, but none of them have been training yet since the last game, so we’ve got to look at them on Saturday probably because tomorrow is a recovery day,” he added.

Mason Greenwood can provide adequate cover upfront in case of the absence of Daniel James and if Bissaka too cannot make it then the Man United manager will bring in Diogo Dalot to play at right-back.
