Man United will take on AC Milan in the Europa League Round of 16 this week and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to be without a few key players for the second leg.

The first and perhaps the biggest miss will be Edinson Cavani who has had to pull out of the travelling squad after feeling a bit of discomfort in training. Apart from the South American, defender Eric Bailly is also on the sidelines and has not taken the flight to Milan.

But all is not doom and gloom for the Man United boss since he has a lot of players returning from injuries and both Donny van de Beek, Paul Pogba are available for selection on Thursday.

“We are happy to have Donny back, Paul and David,” Ole told the club’s official sources. “Big players. Unfortunately, it looks like Edinson has got a bit of a reaction to training today and didn’t feel ready to travel.”

“Eric is being assessed. I might be wrong there [in saying he was out]. He might have turned around and said he’s ready but he didn’t train this morning.”

Apart from Cavani and Eric Bailly, Anthony Martial is another big name who will miss out on Thursday since the forward has failed to recover from the hip injury which he picked up in the first leg.

The absence of Cavani and Martial means Amad Diallo might get a chance to start on the right wing at the San Siro and he will be eager to build on his performance from the first leg.

Greenwood will also get to start up front on the back of his superb performance vs West Ham United on Sunday.

Paul Pogba is travelling means he is fully fit and there’s a big chance we will see him in the first XI as Ole will look to kill off the tie as soon as possible.
