Man United snatched three points out of the jaws of defeat in midweek turning around a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 win against Villarreal in the Champions League.

A 95th-minute winner from Cristiano Ronaldo ensured that United keep their knockout hopes very much intact and after this stellar win, Ole’s men will take on Everton in the Premier League.

Everton and Man United are tied on points so they will need to pick up a win on Saturday to ensure that the Toffees do not climb above them and also to maintain that push for the top position on the table.

This will undoubtedly be a tough match for Manchester United but we expect Solskjaer to rest several of his first-team players who played in midweek and use the fringe ones.

Man United team news vs Everton:

David De Gea was one of the heroes for United in midweek and it’s safe to say that he has managed to reclaim his No 1 spot from Dean Henderson.

Harry Maguire once again misses out due to an injury meaning Lindelof will pair up with Raphael Varane in central defence. The manager also has the option of Eric Bailly.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was suspended for the Villarreal game but he will return to the starting line up against Everton, replacing Diogo Dalot.

Luke Shaw’s injury is not too serious so there’s a big chance he might come back into the starting line up on Saturday, in place of Alex Telles.

Fred came on towards the end of the match on Wednesday but the midfielder will get a start this time around. Matic will replace Scott McTominay as the other midfielder.

The manager seems to have no faith in Donny van de Beek so he’s going to remain on the bench against Everton as well.

Jadon Sancho had another underwhelming game on the left wing meaning against Everton, Ole is likely to put Pogba back into that role with Mason Greenwood operating on the right-hand side.

Bruno Fernandes ran his socks off in that 2-1 win so it will not be a big surprise if the Man United boss opts to rest him on Saturday. But with Bruno on the bench, United will lose all their creativity in midfield.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been playing non-stop since his arrival but this weekend, he is expected to start on the bench as Edinson Cavani gets a nod upfront.
