Man United are undefeated in 22 of their last 24 matches in the Europa League and they will be looking to extend this run when they take on Real Sociedad in midweek.

United beat Sociedad in the first leg of the Round of 32 last week and they now welcome the Spanish side to Old Trafford, holding a 4-0 advantage.

Solskjaer’s side are the out and out favourites to pick up a win on Thursday but the manager is expected to heavily rotate his starting line-up and this might give Sociedad a glimmer of hope.

The Man United boss is dealing with a few injury concerns going into the midweek fixture but Ole will not be too worried since the backup players are more than capable of picking up a win against this Real Sociedad side.

Man United team news vs Real Sociedad:

David De Gea will move to the bench in midweek as Dean Henderson comes back into the side and the defensive duo of Harry Maguire and Lindelof are also expected to be rested.

Bailly will undoubtedly get a start in central defence and there’s a big chance that Axel Tuanzebe could also be brought in by the manager.

Luke Shaw will be rested with Alex Telles coming in at left-back and young Brandon Williams might replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back.

Scott McTominay might not be fit in time to be available for selection in which case, Nemanja Matic will partner Fred in central midfield. Paul Pogba remains sidelined with a thigh injury.

Donny van de Beek is another player who could miss the Real Sociedad but if the Dutchman is fully fit then he will undoubtedly get a start.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are both going to be rested on Thursday meaning Juan Mata and Daniel James will get to start in the attacking third.

Edinson Cavani is another player who is facing a race against time to be fit and if the South American is not available then young Mason Greenwood will play down the middle.

Ole will want to kill off this tie as early as possible since Man United take on Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday and the manager will want all of his regular players fully fit for this tie.
