Man United were held to a 0-0 draw by Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend and next up they hit the road to take on Sheffield United.

United have been in inexplicable form away from home, winning their last nine away matches in the league and on the other hand, Sheffield United have lost their previous 7 matches in the top division.

Last season, the Bramall Lane outfit were a force to reckon with but this time around they are sitting at the bottom of the table with just a single point.

So clearly, Man United are the favourites to pick up a win in midweek but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to make a few changes to his starting XI and this could be the chance Sheffield need to pick up their first win of the 2020-21 season.

Man United team news vs Sheffield United:

Dean Henderson will return to Bramall Lane and there’s a big chance the Man United academy graduate replaces David De Gea in front of goal on Thursday.

Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will reprise their role in central defence but Luke Shaw is likely to be rested as Alex Telles comes into the starting line-up.

Scott McTominay could be rested meaning Donny van de Beek is expected to get game time vs Sheffield United. It will be interesting to see if Ole chooses to stick with Paul Pogba or does the manager rest him as well.

Bruno Fernandes is a guaranteed starter alongside Marcus Rashford and there’s a big chance Juan Mata also comes into the side – playing on the right wing.

Mason Greenwood should drop to the bench to make way for Anthony Martial but the youngster is likely to make a substitute appearance towards the end of the match.

Edinson Cavani is still out injured and the South American is not expected to be fit in time for Thursday’s clash.
