Man United beat Liverpool in the 4th Round of the FA Cup on Sunday and next up, they return to the EPL where they take on Sheffield United at home.

The Red Devils are currently the most in-form side in the Premier League and going into this game they sit at the top of the EPL table – two points ahead of Man City.

Man United are undefeated in their last 13 league matches and given the kind of form that Sheffield United are in right now, this game should technically be a walk in the park for Solskjaer’s men.

The Blades so far have won just one out of their first 19 league matches and going into this match, they have a number of injury concerns. Solskjaer himself could also miss a few players with injuries but despite that, the Man United boss should be able to name a strong starting XI on Wednesday.

EPL: Man United team news vs Sheffield United

De Gea was rested on Sunday against Liverpool but will return to goal in midweek, replacing Dean Henderson.

Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire partnered in central defence during the weekend as Eric Bailly was kept out of the squad due to a slight injury concern. The Ivorian will be fit for the Sheffield United game.

Luke Shaw has been stellar at left-back this season but we think Ole will want to give him a rest vs Sheffield, especially since he has Alex Telles in the squad now.

Pogba and McTominay played in central midfield in the FA Cup but the latter should make way for Fred in midweek with the Frenchman keeping his place in the starting XI.

Donny van de Beek got a rare start in the attacking midfielder’s role during the weekend but the Dutch international will make way for Bruno Fernandes who came off the bench to score the winning goal against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Mason Greenwood put his name on the scoresheet on Sunday and if Marcus Rashford is fit and available then the youngster is likely to move to the bench.

If Rashford cannot recover from his knee injury in time then Greenwood could retain his place in the starting XI for the EPL game on Wednesday.

Martial will return to the starting line-up vs the Blades while Edinson Cavani is expected to keep his place up front.

Given the current form of Sheffield United, the likes of Juan Mata and Dan James could also be called into the line-up by the Man United boss but since Man City are breathing down their necks on the EPL table right now, we don’t think Ole will want to make things too complicated.
