Man United team news vs Wolves: Rashford to miss out with a shoulder injury?

Man United were held to a 2-2 draw by Leicester City in the Premier League on Boxing Day and next up, they take on Wolves at Old Trafford.

Liverpool dropping points on Sunday means Man United are still just five points behind the league leaders which is why they have to pick up all three points on Tuesday.

Man United are undefeated in their last 9 home matches against Wolves in all competitions plus the away side have managed to win just one out of their last five league matches. So, at least on paper securing a win should not be a major issue for the Man United manager.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a few injury concerns to deal with before this key game which is why he could once again be forced to alter his starting XI at Old Trafford.

Man United team news vs Wolves:

Victor Lindelof started at right-back vs Leicester due to Wan-Bissaka’s absence but the Swede picked up a lower-back injury in that very same match.

There are rumours that he might not be fit in time to take on Wolves on Tuesday in which case Eric Bailly will start in central defence alongside Maguire once again.

If Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not deemed ready then Axel Tuanzebe will have to fill in at right-back.

Fred and McTominay started in central midfield vs the Foxes but we have a feeling that one of them could be rested in midweek. Since McTominay has just recovered from a small injury, it’s more likely to be him.

Paul Pogba started on the bench during the weekend and if McTominay is rested then the Frenchman will come into the side.

Marcus Rashford has been dealing with a shoulder injury and there have been fears over his participation vs Wolves.

Some rumours claim Solskjaer will not risk using him but as far as we think, if he is close to 100 per cent then the England international is a guaranteed starter.

Daniel James got a starting role vs Leicester but on Tuesday he will make way for young Mason Greenwood as Anthony Martial operates up front.

Edinson Cavani came off the bench to provide an assist for Man United’s second goal on Saturday but the South American is expected to remain on the bench this time around as well.
