Man United take on AS Roma in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final this week and the Premier League side won the first leg 6-2 at Old Trafford.

With six goals home goals in the bag, Man United have one foot firmly placed in the Europa League final which has led many to believe that Solskjaer is going to heavily rotate his starting line-up on Thursday night.

But when the manager was asked this same question on Wednesday, Ole was pretty clear that any team he names will look to go all out to win the second leg as well, rather than sitting comfortably on last week’s win.

The manager said, as quoted by Manchester Evening News: “We’re not going to play on the result – we’re going to play to win that game.

“That’s the only way I think we can play this game. Of course, there might be one or two changes in the selection, but we have to get into the final.

“Everyone says it’s done, but I’ve seen bigger upsets than this. Roma beat Barcelona in a second leg after being 4-1 down.”

Man United still have a pretty hectic schedule to deal with and now their cancelled Liverpool game has added more pressure on them. So the manager will definitely look to rest some key players vs Roma, more so since this is an away game.

The club’s official website has also hinted that we can see the fresh faces in the starting line-up with players like Bailly and Amad Diallo in line to get starts.

Early team news by the club had claimed: “Eric Bailly is available again and an option to come into defence if the manager decides to freshen things up.

“Amad could travel[he has made it to the 24-man squad] after being left out of the Under-23s’ 6-2 win at Derby County on Monday.”
