Man United have picked up only one win during their first two games of the new Premier League season and next up they take on Crystal Palace at home.
The Red Devils thumped 4 goals past Chelsea during the opening weekend but last Monday they could only manage a draw vs Wolves at the Molineux Stadium.
Solskjaer named his perfect XI this past weekend and the Norwegian boss is expected to name a very similar side this weekend since he is currently has a very small injury list.
On paper, this should be an easy three points for the Old Trafford outfit and given that Palace have managed to pick up just a single point during their first two games, we do not see much a contest here.
The betting odds are all stacked in favour of Man United with most pundits and experts predicting a big comfortable win for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Man United news vs Palace:
The biggest Man United news is how Ole will choose to handle Paul Pogba especially after he missed a penalty vs Wolves.
But we do not feel the manager can risk dropping the Frenchman since apart from the spot-kick failure he had a perfect game.
So Pogba will be a natural choice for next weekend alongside Scott McTominay who has made a very fine start to the season.
Andreas Pereira featured in the first game vs Chelsea but last weekend he was dropped to the bench. Versus Palace though the Brazilian could return to the first XI as Solskjaer would want his team to control the rhythm of the game.
The defensive line will certainly see no reshuffle with Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire playing in central defence and Luke Shaw and Bissaka playing as full-backs.
Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are both sidelined with injuries and have been ruled out for the next few months.
“He’s had an operation and he’ll miss the best part of four or five months, I would think. Hopefully, we’ll get him back around Christmas.” the manager said on Bailly’s injury.
Daniel James made his full debut vs Wolves on Monday but it was not a very pleasant outing for the youngster which is why we think he will drop back to the bench as Jesse Lingard moves out to the flank.
Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial both will keep their place vs Crystal Palace with the Frenchman playing as the No 9.
With both McTominay and Periera likely to feature in central midfield, Paul Pogba is likely to play in a more advanced role – playing as the link between the forwards and the midfielders.
